The May Travel Capsule | Carry On Edition
Welcome May and the warmer weather! I’ve put together my May Travel Capsule to provide you with some inspiration for what to pack when traveling. I know many of us struggle with packing for trips, and can either under pack or overpack. Years ago, I would routinely travel 2-3 weeks a month back and forth to Europe for work and it forced me to be very conscious of what went into my suitcase. And, over the years, I think I have perfected the travel capsule. All of these items, if you know how to pack and utilize your suitcase properly will fit into a carry on suitcase. Toiletries, jewelry, accessories and a pair or two of shoes can go into your personal carry on tote.
These pieces are versatile and lightweight and easy to pack. I always travel with a travel steamer (always make sure it is empty before you pack it; I have made that mistake before). This way I can pack everything I need in my carry on luggage and steam whatever items need a quick touch up. This is by far the BEST travel steamer I have owned and I cannot live without it.

Classic White Shorts Casual Style
White shorts are such an easy choice. Because they are neutral, you can style them with just about anything. Here I have paired this look with a striped tee, a black belt with a gold buckle, black slides also with gold details and the perfect travel tote and beach hat. Don’t neglect packing a beach hat and sunglasses and make sure to apply sunscreen vigilantly.

White Shorts | Elevated
The beauty of white shorts is their versatility. This look is perfect for an al fresco dinner, drinks with friends or a casual party. The white blazer provides some extra coverage for cooler evenings. Sweater tanks are one of my favorites. I feel like they instantly add polish to your outfit without much effort. Clear sandals are a big trend; I’ve had mine for several years and grab for them more than any others in my closet.

The Staple Dress in White
A good white dress is such a great staple piece. Choosing the right dress can provide you countless styling options. This dress can be worn alone or paired with a blazer or jacket as I have shown here. This white dress with the gold button detail elevates the dress and makes it look more expensive than it is.

When choosing a beach or swim coverup, look for one that can do double duty and go beyond jut the beach or pool. This coverup does exactly that, making it an easy item to pack. The White Denim Jean | Casual Style
Oh how I love a good pair of white denim jeans. They are such a versatile jean and can be worn for day or evening looks. And these are under $50! This is casual around town look that can take you from activities to shopping to eating out at a casual restaurant. Comfy sneakers are a must when traveling. We tend to do a lot more more walking when on vacation or traveling, so make sure to throw a comfy, neutral pair into your carryon, or save space and wear them on the plane, like I often do.

THE WHITE DENIM JEAN | EVENING STYLE
White denim is a chic and classic look, especially when paired with a lady jacket or cardigan. I’d simply drape the cardigan over my shoulders for cooler evenings. I find restaurants can be terribly cold, and I always make sure I have something I can throw over my shoulders if I get chilly.

And finishing off the travel capsule, I’m bringing back this super soft striped tee paired with white denim. A bit more of an elevated but casual look when you add some gold jewelry and gold buckle sandals.
